Fast Cats Take Northeast Indoor Classic

Delaware's Fast Cats Track Club came to Boston and walked away with the team title, edging the local Waltham Track Club 617-603. They were led by 14-year-old Sean Daniels who broke four meet records (55 Meter Hurdles, 200 Meter, Long Jump, and 4x200 Relay) en route to the overall Athlete of the Meet title. 13-year-old Phoebe Snow of the Nitehawks Sports Club won the girl's AOM title with a double distance win including an eye opening 5:04.49 in the 1500. The local Cambridge Jets scorched the track setting 3 relay marks, including a 1:44.76 by the age 11-12 boys. On the field event side, 8-year-old Jonathan Grant (Abbe Panthers) leaped a huge 3'10” in the high jump. Overall, 21 records fell as athletes from the New England states, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and North Carolina came to compete.
